I know Case only made the 155 for 2 years, but does anybody know how to determine which of the two years it is?? I've come across a website that says "No serial number breaks are available for the early units."

Thanks for any input,
Jason

There has been some prior threads regarding this question and there are others with more knowledge of the early tractors than myself. I can tell you that if it has the hydraulic brake like the 150 rather than the disc brakes it is and early production model and a 1967 for sure.

You could see what year your engine was built
Numbers may be on it some were, doesn't hurt to look

If you post your serial number, I can tell you if it is a 1967 or 1968.

Thanks for all the input guys! I have two of them on my property and will be restoring one. The other is just a parts tractor that I have out on loan. S/N's are 9616512 and 9616182.

Thanks again guys,
Jason

I do have a Kohler chart that will identify the year the engine was manufactured by S/N that may be of help if you need.

Actually, both of these Case 155's are 1967 models with both Kohler engines made in 1966, both of these tractors were most likely made between August and December of 1966 for the 1967 model year, the S/N 9616182 came shortly after the early hydraulic brake models.
