Hello all

I bought a Case 442 over the winter and finally got it out and running this week. It runs and drives nice. 1 question I have is when the machine is in neutral it creeps forward very slowly. It has to be just barely shifted in reverse in order to stay still. Any help on how to fix this would be really appreciated. Thanks guys!

This is a linkage issue. Either you have too much free-play in the linkage and you need to eliminate that first or...you need to adjust the linkage.

Either way, use the PIN from the tractor to find the correct parts manual in the TECH section and then study how the linkage goes together. Do not dismiss tiny amounts of free play. It all adds up and the spool that controls oil flow does not move very far in comparison to how much you move the travel lever.
