Hello all,
Just picked up a 1973 case 222 with a j44 deck and a j50 plow. Questions so far, was flambeau red used in 1973?
J44 deck- i seem to be missing the fore-aft adjusting links, does anyone have dimensions on the j bolt?
Also, i need the skid shoes for the blade, anone have a pic?
I know i can contact brian at salem, as i live in michigan, but i work in a fab shop and have access to bulk steel and bridgeport lathe welders etc. and i enjoy making the stuff myself. oh, one more, the round air cleaner, does anyone have a part number from any of the filter companies they can share with me? (wix, fram, anythin will do) thanks

No it was not. Power Red is the correct paint for your tractor.

Send me a PM. I will sell you a used pair for not much more than the cost of shipping. You will most likely need the nuts, brackets and the J-bolts. The Parts Manual for the J-Series decks can be found in the Tech Library. That's a good place to begin so you can determine what is actually missing. The J-decks are different in that area from the K and later decks so pay attention when looking at the manuals.

Go to the Tech Library/Parts Manuals/Utility Blades and look at the exploded views of the various blades. Some blades used a round ski. Which ski is correct for your blade will depend upon which model blade you have.

The air filter for the Kohler K engines are all the same. Go to your local NAPA dealer. They have a huge Outdoor Power Equipment catalogue with a section devoted to all-things Kohler. Plugs, points, condenser, air filters, gaskets, con rods, cranks, pistons, rings, coils.........you name it. This is a very common filter that is available at Deere, Wheelhorse, Cub Cadet, Sears dealers as well as any repair shop for outdoor power equipment.
