OK. It’s nice looking. But suppose we set aside the fancy hubcaps and the Cragers for a moment. Is this not just another $800.00 222 from 1980? You can buy some really nice aluminum wheels brand new for around $100.00 a pop so how do we get to a $1500.00 valuation?

HEY….. I’m asking you…. you….. and even you …hiding over in the corner. :sidelaugh: :sidelaugh:

Lipstick on a pig. Poor paint job, doesn't look like anything was disassembled to paint correctly, overspray on exhaust outlet, oiltank, battery, etc. Didn't mask off when grill was painted, black appears to gloss on grille and engine. Looks to have been painted with the hood down. Motor mount isolators have been painted. Battery terminals appear to need cleaning which leads me to wonder about other maintenance (or lack thereof). And didn't see a lift arm or pivot locking pin for the blade. Depending on evaluation of the running condition of the engine, I don't see $800.00 considering one would have to undo some of what was messed up by the hurry-up paint if one was to want it correct.

Well, your spot on Billygoat. Even the fuel line and filter has overspray all over it now that I take a second look. I think if someone does get it they will be disappointed when they see it in person. Not lifting the hood and blasting that little bit of sheet metal is the worst part.......It's a shame it was not done better. I need to train myself to see the details......

It's not worth $1500 but it's a nice looking tractor.

I disagree on the paint job. It's more than likely a working tractor not a show tractor. Big difference IMO.

I didn't completely disassemble mine when I painted it. I'm glad I didn't as it's all scratched up in about 20 different places now from use.

I think the reason he is selling it is that it is too much machine for that little round patch of grass he's mowing. :sidelaugh: :sidelaugh: :sidelaugh:
You may be right. Perhaps the Case cuts the grass far too fast and that limits his "cool" exposure factor. But it's pretty tough to install Cragers on a Lawnboy push mower.
