224 mower deck needed

773 Views 13 Replies 10 Participants Last post by  ROCKLAND VALLEY
I have a 1982 Case 224 it's been working great all these years ,,,,but now I need to either rebuild the mower deck or replace it. The tractor works great so it's worth fixing to me. Anyone with ideas?

Rebuilding a mower deck is relatively inexpensive if the spindles and pulleys are still in decent, useable condition. I recommend contacting one of the dealers here for an estimate.
Hello Cgchief,

We can help you with the parts to rebuild your mower deck or perhaps supply a used deck that is in better condition. If you are searching for a replacement deck, your location would be helpful with regard to shipping or pickup.

Thanks!

Thanks for posting the mowing deck rebuild video. I enjoyed the no nonsense approach with helpful ideas to get the job done. I’ve rebuilt a few myself in the past but an old dog can always learn new tricks. ✌ Harry

Thank you all for your response and advice. I have loved this little tractor since I bought it new. It has served me well and owes me nothing. I think I'm going to repair the deck and keep it as a standby, effectively retiring it. Thank y'all again.

Thanks! Just did one the other day, and thanks to Never Cease, the rebuild went well. I appreciate your attention to detail. I had a couple guys helping me because I just had a heart attack and without my help they would have been lost. I didn't discover your video until we were already mowing the yard> Thank You!
