4 hours yesterday pushing snow!!

Hi Troops,
Me and my 4018/L54 blade had some one on one time yesterday moving about 14" of snow. I still marvel at the ability of these machines to do what they do!!! I plow my side yard which is grass so I have an alternate spot to put my trailers into so I can clear out where I normally keep them. I also pushed the snow way off the driveway with thoughts of last years storms and running out of room to push/blow snow into!!!
I miss my 448 as it has the slower high range gearing that I installed in 99. It plowed in high range and the match of torque and traction was perfect. Tom Goldencove has the pleasure of owning and operating it now, enjoy!!!
I also installed the Speaker 777 lenses that I got from Bill Gebhart. I used the new gaskets that I purchased on eBay a while back. These lights have the H3 55 watt halogen lamps that I had installed years ago. Lots more light particularly forward and no melting of the plastic lenses, which are now glass!!! I may still install tractor type lights on the fenders as I had done to my 448. They are 35 watt halogen spot lights with a very reflective interior. These lamps really light up the front area!!!

Mackie,

Glad you got some quality seat time....I did as well. You will be happy to know the 448 MMSE is being well cared for and is enjoying its stay at Golden Cove! :446:

Hey Mackie/Tom Looks like you got it pretty good up there across the Sound. What little we have left here will be all gone tomorrow, it's going up to 50F.
Glad you guys got some quality time with the Case and Ingersoll! The speakers 777s are sweet, well worth the few extra bucks IMHO.
:222: :446: Best Regards, Rich
I got about 10 inches of fluffy snow....but rain tommorrow will melt most of it! Mackie got a bit more at his place it sounds like :chopwood:
Probably 4-5 inches here in Maine and I plowed all of it with my 44" blade. Lots of fun! Hope all is well with you CT guys. We are getting rain tomorrow as well I believe.

10" is no match for the Golden Cove Fleet! :usa: :letitsnow:

The fleet has been reduced by 50%. I sold the 446 earlier this year. But the 448 handled things just fine :letitsnow:
Hi Tom ,Rich, Bob, And group,We had about eight inches here from Friday and Saturday. My 73 444 plowed Friday until something in the Governer acted up.I sure did have fun until that happened. Bill Gebhardt
