Hi all,

I have been offered this 444 that is currently orange but looks like it used to be a cream and orange one looking at all the early style features.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

HELLO
Serial numbers would be nice, it's on that plate on the tower ?
Does it have a Kohler 14 horsepower (321) engine under the hood ?
It has the Stap fast plate on the front and the big muffler not like the first tractors had

I agree, the paint and features do not match. The paint and decals are of a 1977 production year tractor, but in reality the tractor is a 1973.

serial number 9661562

As Bob indicated, a 1973
Colors would have been desert sunset and power red

I’m seeing a 1972 model. Out of the serial numbers. Could be wrong. Picture of what I looked at for serial numbers.

This chart is calendar year of production, not model year. The tractor was built late in 1972 but is a 1973 model year as it has the isolation engine mounts. '72 engines were bolted right to the frame rails.
