Hope I'm in the right forum, here, tried a search.I do believe I glazed my pto clutch on my 448,what do I have to do to get the snowblower to work on my 4016?We put it on the 4016 last year and twisted the belt so it would turn in the right direction, but everytime I got in heavy snow it would kick the belt off.Is there some kind of simple solution, looks like more snow on the horizon.Thanks.

There's a simple solution that could make three people happy.

dbeiter has a converted 48" blower for sale that is perfect for your tractor. Horrido will buy your blower because he needs one for his tractor.

Check our For Sale section for dbeiter's ad.

Swapping equipment around might be a useful approach. There is also a conversion kit available, but not free by a long shot .. I'm not looking it up at the moment, but around $500.

Basically, the idler pulleys for a 4000 series are mirror imaged in the mounting bracket vs the prior models. Tensioner arm as well. Then the main drive pulley is set about 2" to the left in the housing, to achieve proper belt alignment.

The kit includes new mounting frame and drive shaft to achieve the above.
