I have been working on my 646LBH and and having a problem with the wiring, the oil pressure light does not come on when the key is on and engine not running. I have done a lot of rewiring and everything else work. The oil pressure light was green and wasn't hook up when I received it. I replace the light with a red one. I wire it from the sender to one terminal on the light, and ran a wire from other terminal to the ignition post on the switch. I am thinking the sender is bad. Can I replace it with a standard automotive sender? :fingerscrossed:

Thanks,
Ted

You want sender with 4 pound spring its more universal than automotive used mostly on hour meters its called oil pressure switch, sender used with electric gauge. This pressure switch supply's ground for lite ease way to check pressure switch is to ground wire on engine block at pressure switch location with key switch on if lite comes on pressure switch is not grounding on inside.
