Hey guys. My name is Will. I live in Raleigh, NC. Im a technician for Chevrolet, but going to school to become a Heavy Equipment Technician, with interest in Agriculture. (John Deere Program.) There are three main reasons I joined this site, One, I love any type of tractor, anything from a combine to a garden tractor. I grew up a John Deere fan, but have respect and like every other brand. Two, I love anything diesel, I drive a 01 Cummins (thats not stock.) and perfer a Dodge/Cummins over a Ford or GM. But with that said, I love and have respect for anything that is diesel. Hence the reason I joined here. Becuase you can get tractors in diesel and that brings me to the third main reason, Im looking to get into the garden tractor hobby, so I figured id join here and see what happens. And my girlfriends dad is a CASE IH fan.

Welcome to the site!

I'm a big diesel fan myself. I'm waiting for sylvester calzone to get tired of his 4118D.

I would like to see some pics/videos of your Cummins if you have any.

Here's a clip of my diesel Tahoe.

Will: Nice truck! Diesels, 350 Chevys, chics and the sound of our CCI tractors working all cool stuff! Whoops did I say chics! I think you will fit right in here! Please feel at home, this is the best CCI site on planet earth, we have an incredible, diverse knowledge base and a great, helpful membership. We have fun around here too. Look forward to talking on site.

nice truck man. I have a 2dr hoe and Im hopefully going to either put a Duramax in it or the the 383 EFI engine that is in my camaro. My camaro put down 420hp to the rear wheels on a Mustang dyno. That engine would be a beast in my truck. All my buddys have diesel trucks here so I need something to hang with them. My camaro just dont cut it even though I spank them the street with all the time.

Thanks guys. I try to keep the ol Dodge clean and taken care of. I forgot a few things as far as mods and info about my truck go. I added the tow mirrors and the truck is leveled 2 inches. I bought the truck with 194xxx on it. It now has 219xxx. It is a very clean truck, and exactly what I wanted. I love it.

On the tractor side of things, does anybody know of any tractors forsale around the NC area? I want one really bad, but can't seem to find anything around my area. Or where should I start as far as the hobby goes?

Will: Have seen a few for sale down your way. Some had looked to be really decent buys. I live in area that doesn't have many CCI tractors either. I would use this tool:
http://www.searchtempest.com/results.ph ... subcat=sss

Craig's list search tempest if your not familiar with it. Figure how many miles your willing to travel. And there is E Bay. You will find that many members are willing to lend a hand if a tractor needs to be looked at or even held for pickup.

I think to determine what direction you want to go, you need to answer the question, what will be the intended use of the tractor? Mow, collect, move material, till, etc.? The possibilities are endless. If you want multi-use, that is a lot of attachments, sometimes a package deal is the best value. If you take some time, take a look at the History on the front page. And also the comprehensive technical Library. You can see examples of virtually all the CCI tractors there. Following the Classified Posts will help to get a handle on values.
