I've never personally seen one in action, and haven't been able to find a video. I'm hoping some one has one that they can share.

I to would also like to see one in action
I just did a 3 hour session with mine. I had intentions of measuring the RPMs (engine versus chipper) and oil temperature and shooting a few pictures, but did none of that  . One of the hydraulic quick connects on the chipper was dripping a bit. I ended up just taking them off and connecting the hoses with the threaded connections. I'm wondering if the o-ring in the quick connector can be replaced?

I had accumulated a good size pile of branches and trimmings from cleanup around the house. I ended up building a new compost bin out of pallets; layering the green wood and leaf mulch with grass that I had bagged the previous week. That pile has been running at an internal temperature of 160 degrees Fahrenheit for over a week now. The chipper-shredder does a really nice job of making mulch and composting materials.

If you toss green grass in the shredder, the screen will plug up. Running some wood through at the same time will break things up and keep the screen clear. The instructions say to just take the screen off when shredding wet material. There are other screens available. The standard 1" screen generally makes material around 1/2 to 3/4" in size.

There are a few videos on YouTube of guys using Mackissic chipper shredders. Same idea. Safety glasses and hearing protection are a must when using these things.

Yes, the O-rings can be replaced. I've replaced mine a couple of times over the years. Thanks for the info.
