Saw this on side of road in Auburn Mass, thought I would pass it on

Case 155 SN 9618082,
Comes with plow and deck (missing one spindle), 10 hp Kohler, Carb leaks, no battery.
It is on consignment with Paul @ 508-757-87three8
He said the owner was asking $900, told him that seemed a bit high. He stated that the owner wanted to get what he paid for it. Told him good luck, but that I would pass it on.

Putting it on main forum since it is not mine and I have nothing to do with it, other than seeing it 4 sale.

Back in 1988, I bought a used Mack R-model highway tractor for around 50 grand. Based on the theory of this Seller, someone should pay me at least 50 grand for it today. In reality, I would be hard pressed to get ten grand for it.

That particular tractor has been for sale for around a year or so. The reason it has not sold is because it has always been priced too high and it still is overpriced today.

It might be worth $400.00 though. However, if you were to offer that much, I think that the Seller would just laugh and walk away. There are always those who demand big bucks for something and just don't understand why no one else agrees with their asking price.

Yep, I know that feeling very well. I've got my eye on a couple more Cases around here. Just have to come up with "extra" money. ( after getting this one done) None of my project costs come from the household budget, so I must be very frugal sometimes. Often gets frustrating because I believe one can do it nice or do it twice. Even when adapting there is a right way and wrong way.

This GT has been for sale for a few years. Well ventilated cab. :sidelaugh: I thought it was last advertised on CL at $1500 but I may be wrong. Couple more years and the price may come down some more............. :clap: :222: :446: Best Regards, Rich

You all seem to have overlooked the value of that custom cab/sunshade. It probably comes with a roll of saran wrap to enclose the cab for snow work.
