This show is produced by Dan Haas. Here are Dan's own words about his show that he posted on MTF.

This is a Colt Case Ingersoll Lawn Tractor Show Only.

The Show is in full swing. We are just over 4 weeks away. Everything is looking good.

Here is a link to the Cherry Valley Festival Days Schedule for anyone that would like to bring their families-

http://www.valleydays.com/festivalschedule.html

For anyone looking to spend a night or two There is plenty of hotels and camping just 5 to 8 minutes from the show. Rockford has many major hotels and Rock Cut State Park for camping. Anyone interested in a hotel stay let me know as soon as possible. If we have enough people maybe we can get a group rate for a block of rooms.

The entire festival is a good time but the Colt Case Ingersoll Tractor Show is what tops it off.

We are allowing the Swap Meet part of the show to take place again for those who want to bring a tractor or tractors to show. As said before, this is a tractor show first and swap meet second. If you want to bring items to sell then you need to bring at least one Colt, Case or Ingersoll tractor to show. Selling items at the show pertaining to these tractors is fine but we also expect sellers to contribute to to the show as well.

Anyone wanting to participate in bringing tractors to the show please contact me by email at
[email protected] so we can make sure we have space available.

Thank you,

Dan

This show was well-attended last year and hosted some very interesting collections. Whether you wish to show your own tractors or you want to attend as an avid enthusiast, this show is worth putting on your itinerary. Dan has confirmed that this will be a one-day event again this year and that the expected TV coverage will not take place due to a decision made by the media company that had shown initial interest.

I am trying to arrange my schedule so that I can go to this show. But I'm curious if anyone else from this forum will be there?
I met quite a few last year. :trink:

This year is still a 50/50 chance of making it for me. :drinkbuddies:

It's a nice park and lots of good tractors.

They might even have another calender. :trink:

Last year, the attendance was pretty good for an inaugural show and many of the forum regulars did make the trek according to the reports I read. I hope that this year, the attendance will be even greater. I have to applaud Dan's efforts to produce a single marque show, especially for a tractor that is not as widely collected as Wheelhorse, Cub Cadet or Deere. The park does look lovely in the photos and the videos playing on Youtube and there is another event taking place along side this one on the weekend. I will not be attending due to the Canadian VGTCOA show taking place on the same weekend. That is a "must" show for me to attend as it is the largest GT show in the Province and may well be the largest in the country. And yes..... a calendar is planned, Stewart. Perhaps this years calendar will be available at a deep-discount price. :sidelaugh:
I would love to go but unfortunally, at 970 miles, its a little to far for me to travel.
Only a couple hours from me but doubt I can make it but would love to.
Only about an hour away for me, so I will sure try and make it this year. Wanted to last year, but a last minute trip to go buy a Yamaha YZ250F with my son got in the way.

I've met Dan and based on some items in his collection alone, I'm sure you'll see not only some very nice, but also some very unusual Colts, Cases and/or Ingersolls. If you haven't seen pictures from the show last year, search them out. Really amazing collection of machines that showed up last year.

Cherry Valley has a very nice facility and grounds for their festival and the show. Super close to Rockford, too (convenient for eating, hotels, etc).
I'll be there for the tractors--and the calendar girls in their tan and orange bikinis. :sidelaugh:
I'd love to be there. Rockford is not far from my home turf (LaSalle County) but alas I live in HotLanta now.

So I won't be making the 11 hr drive...

If you make it this year you'll get the Long Distance Award, :trink: as my employer is trying very hard to make sure I have another activity that weekend. :wife:
I went last year but I can't afford to this year. I might be able to attend next year if someone unplugs that damn printing press that churning out dollar bills at a rate of 10,000 per second.

It's all moot anyway. In a few weeks, the USA will declare Chapter 11 and then send an Emissary to Buckingham Palace asking Queen Elizabeth for forgiveness and to please take the country back. :sidelaugh: :sidelaugh:

Greetings to the land of Whores and Hockey Players,(lol) no need to give the USA back to the Queen, the Tea Party will will straighten things out. If the greatest generation can win a war on two fronts 60 yrs ago, we can clean this mess up. (may not be pretty) Will look forward to continuing this discussion at Rockford. Regards, John

It's my employer that's deciding for me this year too. There was a rumor Mad Mac from the East coast will be there and I believe that he would put me down the list. :sidelaugh: :sidelaugh:

I'll have to Mapquest Mad Mac and then if it's close I can maybe leave from my cottage. (400 Miles North)

I think MM said it was 1600 Miles which is way more than our journey was. :sidelaugh: :sidelaugh: :sidelaugh:

I find out on the 8th if I will make it.

:canada:
I am reminding everyone that this Colt, Case and Ingersoll gathering in Cherry Valley is taking place this coming Saturday. The show opens at 9.00 AM and closes at 4:00 PM.

Has anyone got plans to attend? If so...... will you take lots of photos and then share them with this group some time next week? That would be appreciated.
I'll be there with my camera to shoot photos of the Miss Case/Ingersoll contestants but can probably squeeze off a few of the tractors too. :sidelaugh: :sidelaugh:

I hope everyone from the forum will look me up--I'm the good looking guy with the ugly tractors.
My 50/50 went to 0/100

I'll put it in my calender for next year :chopwood:

Hope that the weather is as nice as it was last year   :trink:

For those that can make it. Have a great time :drinkbuddies: :drinkbuddies:

I'll wait for the :coolphotos:
