I have for sale a Ingersol garden tractor. it has a 48 inch mower deck.
It would not start last year. ( no spark) until then it always started right away.
It has the 2 cylinder Onan motor on it. It is hydraulic drive and lift for the mower deck.
sold as is. $235 cash

wow, that is a good deal. If and I say IF someone here gets it and decides to part it then please let me know. I need the hood.

I posted the ad right after I saw it. I figured it had been on there a couple hours so someone would have bought it. He called me an hour after I sent him an email. He said the I was the first to write and he had 14 others at that time. I didnt end up picking it up until 5. What a nice guy for holding it for me. I gave him a little more, but not much.
Grill is rusted out in two spots. Hour meter says 785. Engine has good compression. Tractor looks like it has sat outside a good part of its life. 25th anniversary.
Doesnt have any spark. Well I have power to the coil, so the ignition switch is good. No resistance from the points to the ground side of the coil. When I short the points out with a screwdriver I get spark across the points and to the plugs. I did sand the points with 400 that didnt work and tried 80 and it didnt. Looks like they are pitted, but I dont know what would be considered bad. Thanks

A set of points won't set you back much. If you intend on keeping it you might as well buy a set with a new condenser to go with it.

If it's too much for you to deal with I'll take it off your hands! Unfortunately, I was working outside yesterday and by the time I saw the posting I figured I was too late. He emailed me as you were pulling out of the driveway that it was sold. I have a cousin who lives 5 minutes away and could have grabbed it for me if I had the address. :sidelaugh:
