I need some help from you guys who have snowcaster experience with 444s.

We have a fairly long gravel driveway and I want to get a snowcaster for our 444. What snowcasters work best with the 444?

When I look at the application chart in the Ingersoll J1250 Parts Catalog it recommends the J, K, L, M, N, P, R, S 84 snowcasters.

What is the difference between these models. Are any of them better suited than others?

Thanks,

Dan

Gregg,
He has Snap-Fast.

Horrido.....

you can use any H, J, K, L, M, N, R or S model 48" wide snow caster on your tractor. They are basically the same but with minor changes in the way they were built. I have never heard an owner make a statement that his S model blew snow way better than his K model.

Whether you use a blade or a blower, gravel drives often prove to be a challenge if they are not graded dead flat and compacted prior to winter. The solution is to set the ski's on the snowcaster up as high as they will go.

The application chart for attachments shows the 1977 Case Ingersoll snow thrower Model: K80-78 as "will fit, but not recommended" for a 444. Can anyone tell me why it is not recommended?

Thanks,
Dan

Thanks to you all for the education. I am sure I will have many more questions about the 444 and the 130.

I am focusing my search on the 48" snowblowers. They are not exactly plentiful in our area. Looks like a road trip coming up.

While we were working with the 444 on the driveway this afternoon my eleven year old talked to me about saving up for a Case of his own.

I think he may be vulnerable to the Case Garden Tractor disease.

It's hereditary.
