I think it depends on the wood. I split some large (30") oak rounds with my tractor. It grunted doing one cut at a time. 4 cuts could not have been done, plus I am not a big enough boy to lift a 30" oak round that high. :)

I agree. Clear, straight grained wood in very short lengths. You couldn't run most North American hardwoods through with that ease.

Having said that, there's no reason that I know of that it couldn't be Case powered.

That's just what we would call a box blade or a variation of it; not that uncommon. It requires that the blade goes back and forth. Why not just split the whole round at once like North American wood processors.
