Actually, I never did see even ONE photo of a Colt at the Rockford show, so you need to drop one C off the claim "ALOT of C/C/I there last year." Bob.

Besides...it takes over 6 hours to drive from Flint to Rockford and Rockford doesn't happen until August. Having a "Mad Mackie" type of meeting at a spot in Michigan seems to be a good idea for the late spring.

one in Rockford,ILL not as far as CT and had ALOT of C/C/I there last year. Bob M
It is still too far for me. I would really like to be able to go to the CT one. That looks like a lot of fun.

One here in Michigan would be great. A central location is going to be most important. Let's see who is interested and where they are from and work it out. Thanks for bringing it up and your offer LionsFan.

Hi Troops,
Last year and again this year I'm holding the Casenutz Gathering in a town owned large pavilion with lots of ground area around it. If we have nasty weather then we all come inside the pavilion machines too and I feel that having sizable cover if needed is important. Several years ago I drove around central Mass looking for a suitable place to hold the gathering and found one but the rental price was way out of my budget.
If you all find a suitable place to hold a gathering, southern MI or northern OH I would come out to attend as I have chatted with many of you in forums and I would like to meet and chat with you all. I have a daughter and her family in Brighton, MI and I would visit them also.
I am planning to attend the Cherry Valley gathering and I will roll it into a railfan trip with some of my fellow trainiacs and tractoriacs, but that is late Aug and a long way from the Ohio Turnpike.

Ok, I am now in trouble with the wifee.... I told her just picture this... a lot of places have tractor pulls, or plowing competitions... we could have a mowing competition!!! Just picture this 8, 10, 12,++ CCI tractors all mowing our yard!!! :sidelaugh: :sidelaugh: :sidelaugh:
I have 2 other thoughts... We could converge on to the Sugarcreek, Ohio (NE) show coming up in May, or go to the show they have in Findaly, Oh (NW).. (I forget when this one is...)

Just a couple more thoughts

Hi Dave,
I showed my wife the article in LAGC about the Sugar Creek show and we plan to attend if we're able to get away from work that day :fingerscrossed: . Looks like a good show. I could pull the 446, the kids could do the pedal pull, and the wife and I could look for some 1/16 scale tractors for our collection.

LOL I showed my wife the tractors that are collected by my buddies and she thinks we are all nuts...I tell her that name is already 'taken ( NutCASE), she doesn't get the affinity we have for 'old' tractors, and thinks Harbor Freight is boring..but Still Loves me in spite of my 'twisted' hobby...LOL

But I bet she'd go to an event in Ohio or Southeast Mi...
Sugar Creek is in the Amish country, and there are many stores and shops in town selling antiques and such. If that sounds like it would interest her, maybe spend part of the day walking around town with her so that she looks forward to the next year's show

Jim... here's a suggestion from a guy with years of experience handling women. Tell her that she should be happy that you have developed an appreciation for "old things". She doesn't have to worry about being replaced with something young.

Just be sure she is inside the house and you are outside when you tell her this.

Great advice from someone who has been divorced twice.
That means he has more experience in what works and what doesn't. Anyone can roll over and do what he is told but they'll never have 30, 40 or 50+ tractors!

My wife thinks us Case guys are crazy too...... She just shakes her head and laughs at a lot of the things I do anyway..... :sidelaugh: :sidelaugh: :sidelaugh: :sidelaugh:
My wife "gets" my Case affliction to the point where I believe she would be considered an enabler.
Now, my mother-in-law is another story. She thinks I'm out of my mind. That reminds me, I'm about due to drag another dead Case home just so I can see her roll her eyes when she visits.

My wife "gets" my affliction to a point, she sees that I do make progress on my projects (heck I built the T-444 for her!!!) :sidelaugh: She also sees that I do make some money on the stuff I buy, so she treats me well and Kinda enables me... now my in-laws they are a TOTALLY different story!! My FIL thinks I am REALLY stupid for using "junk, old equipment" he is in the mindset of "hey I can spend $1500 bucks and get a new lawn tractor every 5 years and you spent how much on an 10 yr old?????" Yep and he has has 3 new tractors since I have been married (13 yrs) and My "old junk" is still a better tractor than his brand spankin new Craftsman!!! I offered to let him borrow my junk once to see how it compares and he declined... Plus I challenged him to a pull,my 16 hp (4016) Vs his new "much stronger" 25 hp Craftsman...... he declined again, I think he was a little scared since my Ingy outweighs his by a LARGE margin.... Ok off my soapbox :sidelaugh: :sidelaugh:
