Appreciate feedback from someone who understands the science of this igntion system.

Whats the purpose of condenser on on these CDI equipped P series motors. I have two GT with P218G early 90's.
One opinion stated it was for electronic noise suppression ie radio interference.

Will these motor run ok without a condenser?

Is it true that one can replace condenser with a 0.22uf 600V capacitor. When I google that spec. it returns a biaxle leaded small capacitor. If it would work how would you connect one wire to the two leads. One lead goes to wire and one to ground?

Had a problem, I will continue the post.
The mechanical breaker points on earlier Onan engines which is a switch, was replaced with a Hall Effect switch which is normally closed until the timing magnet fluxes it causing it to open momentarily. The capacitor absorbs the flashover when a switch opens allowing a more defined switch opening. At switch opening, the ignition coil discharges to the path of least resistance which is the spark plugs.
