Came across this last week from I guy I bought some stuff from. Rather enteresting and I'm not sure what he intends to do with it (nor does he!) but he welded steering nuckles to a Case rearend. One issue I see is that the tie rods have very little clearance and the tires bolt on from the inside?

He's used steering from a Jeep CJ, this would make an interesting 4x4 front steer GT!!

I think I would do something different with the wheel mounting but, man, the ideas that will be running through people's heads now! :thumbup:

I wonder why he would have bolted the tires on the inside. Now he has to pull the axle to get the tire off. Hmmmm

I'm wondering if that's not a plate welded to the wheel to make a new bolt pattern on the garden tractor wheels. I think that's a 5.5" bolt pattern and to make that wheel fit over those hubs would have got into the original bolt pattern. It almost has to be slid over from the outside. It probably just has bolts from the inside out to those nuts.
eBoy is just going to have to get back over there and get more pics. Or maybe invite someone else over to his honey hole. :sidelaugh:

Wouldn't the tire on the other side hit the drive motor if you tried to turn. I researched this alittle for a crab steer 4 x 4 and thought you may have to rotate the transaxle 90 (motor on the top side) before welding the steering knuckles on.
