Many of you guys may already know about this, but I thought I would share one of my recent experiences.
I contacted Brian H. on some parts for a D100 backhoe on my brother's 1975 646LBH. He directed me to Messick's who quoted $180+, on backorder, and future delivery date unknown.
I then contacted Case Construction who quoted $315 for the same part, on backorder, and future delivery date unknown.
After some internet searching for used parts, I learned that a company called Astec Underground (http://www.astecunderground.com) had purchased the rights on some Case small equipment and parts. The D100 backhoe was on that list and is being outfitted on their trenchers with parts still available. I contacted them today and purchased the part that I needed for $140 shipped, in stock, and being delivered to my door on Friday.
I was really worried that the D100 was going to be one of those items that parts were NLA. Luckily, this is not the Case. :thumbsup: (Pun mildly intended.)
