The snow missed me again! 150 miles south of me got 3" this morning and we didn't get a single snow flake. My 224 is all dressed up and no snow to blow.

ByCo: It's been like summer here. I was working outside in a tee shirt last weekend. Lots of rain this week.
:222: :446: Best Regards, Rich
I was working in a t-shirt today!!!

I actually took off my blade and chains and hooked my deck backup to shred some leaves.
Same great weather in southern Ontario guys, I've been very busy working in the shop, doing most of the work outside in coveralls and working up a sweat. Makes for a thirsty welder :trink: , I think its going to dump on us soon, typical fall, nice weather then WOMP. I really like living in a 4 season climate. oldfrank :canada:
I did the same thing as snot, all the snow gear came off and I've been getting some yard work done. Looks like this weekend things will be froze up stiff and I'll be dragging lumber around.

I have a close eye on the weather and am looking forward to the snow this year. I can't wait to really test the spring clutch I rebuilt this spring and have been mowing with this summer. Snowthrowing is just so much fun!
My plow, weights and chains are going to remain in the back of the garage because I know that if I even so much as think about mounting them, we will get NO snow - just like last year!

You should run out and put them on right now!!! It's getting cold here now. Looks like a possible snow storm for Wednesday at some point.

I wish! Looks like a lot of rain down here which I'm sure will turn into snow 'upta Maine. Have fun if you get any snow!
You guys are all pro-snow at this time of year but by the end of February that bravado changes to wishes for warm weather and sprouting grass. Fortunately for me, the mild weather is continuing and by Friday, the high will reach into the 50's once again. But it all comes to an end by Saturday December 3rd when the temps will drop to the seasonal norm of about 40 F as a daytime high. I'm likin' it. The snow can wait until December 23rd as far as I'm concerned.

That may be true, but for someone who is originally from New England and has spent the last 7+ years living in either Northern Virginia and Oahu, you can understand why I would like to see a few decent snow falls. Fortunately (or unfortunately) I was still living in Hawaii when the DC area experienced "Snowmageddon" a few winters ago. Not hoping for a crushing snow fall because anything greater than 4" brings this area to its knees, but a few decent snow falls would be nice so I can justify my hobby to my wife!

I have three hours left on shift, and I forgot to put a scraper in my truck. My hands are going to be very unhappy!

My place on the Eastern Shore of Virginia sort of across the Bay from you, but further south had 12" of snow on Christmas Day last winter which caused pandemonium! The farmers saved the day with rear blades on the big tractors on the country roads. So the potential is there.

That's coming my way. It just started snowing here 20 minutes ago.

I probably have 4-5 inches on the deck and the worst of it is supposed to hit us in a few hours.

Don't you mean "the BEST of it is supposed to hit us in a few hours" ?

After all, this thread is filled with guys wanting to play in the snow. Because I'm such a nice lady and very supportive of the members, I hope that all of you get 30 inches of the white stuff dropped on you overnight. Then your tune will change. :sidelaugh: :sidelaugh: :sidelaugh:

Hilda - The sweet Fraulein

Borrowed a scraper from another fellow at work, tossed some pallets in the back for weight, and the ride home was a breeze.

The tractor is still down, so no snowblowing, happily I have 4WD.

Is that a dead cat by the back tire?

:canada:
Well at least you can burn the pallets for heat.

Haha! Nah, it is a drain.

My thoughts exactly about the pallets. Figure I'll stack wood on the good ones, use the lesser ones as kindling.

I got a hold of Gregg (Nutcase446) and he was a big help, told me what he thought was wrong and how to fix it, and also reccomended a local place to get it fixed if I feel it is over my head.

He also sells Land Pride equipment, and that is some good stuff lol!
The NWS is teasing me again. Here's the latest from my local NWS office:

"ACCUMULATING SNOW IS POSSIBLE FROM FRIDAY NIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY
NIGHT ACROSS THE AREA AS A STORM SYSTEM MOVES ACROSS THE PLAINS.
CONFIDENCE IS LOW RIGHT NOW IN DETERMINING WHERE THE LINE WILL BE
BETWEEN RAIN AND SNOW...BUT IT DOES APPEAR LIKELY THAT AT LEAST
SOME PART OF EASTERN NEBRASKA AND WESTERN IOWA WILL RECEIVE
SNOWFALL...WITH AT LEAST A SLIGHT CHANCE OF SNOW ACCUMULATIONS
TOTALING SEVERAL INCHES"

We'll see.
