I don't use the 6018 for snow removal so I can't say how they help for that. However I do use this tractor to move other items around. With an inch of snow and a slight incline on grass, this machine will not go up the incline with an empty bucket, (it does have skid loader tread tires). With the rubber chains it will go up the same incline with a 48" snow caster in the bucket.

I would say not as good of traction as steel tire chains, but better than bare tires. They wouldn't tear up asphalt either.

rubber chains are worth SQUAT on ice.

The problem is any thing good on ice is bad on asphalt.

I expect the rubber chains exert a little more ground pressure than my Tru Power ag tires, which is good, and I have no problem in snow with the Tru Powers.
