Hi.
I bought a brand new Case 222 in 1982.
In 1993 the 12Hp Kohler engine in the 222 blew it's piston out the top while my son was mowing - no one was hurt.
Traded that in on a 1977 Case 446 with a larger mower deck but kept my original 38" snowcaster.
In 2007 the 16hp Onan in the 446 blew out one lung, and I repowered with a 18HP Briggs Vanguard and added an electric PTO clutch. I can do wheelies now (but I don't) and I sure do not miss adjusting that @#$%^! manual PTO clutch...
Over the years I have replaced ball joints, front tires, various parts of the mower deck, pully and shaft bearings bearings, drive chains, mower blades, skid feet, scraper blades and more.
Dumbest thing that ever happened was when a front spindle seized up and I sheared off most of the teeth on the steering shaft trying to turn the wheel to free it... Did not know I was that strong, but it was -20 degrees at the time and cast iron can get brittle.
I really want to mount a 40" Bercomac 2 stage snowblower as soon is I can figure out the CW/CCW engine rotation issues.
I will never sell this tractor as long as I can get parts.
Thanks for reading.
John
