My '83 is black framed but no white stuff except wheels. Can we get some pics?
That is all good information to know ,Tom.Hydriv said:Late 83's and all of the 84's came with the Power Red tin, Black Frames and undercarriage, white seats and white rims. The implements were supposed to be white when sold with new tractors but many dealers just sold decks, casters, blades and tillers in Power Red because they had them in stock.
If a customer ordered a new tractor from the factory with the optional FCV, PTO, either hitch and a holding valve; all of those items would be painted black during assembly. Implements were never packaged with a tractor but a customer certainly could have insisted on getting a white deck or other attachment.

I haven't contribute much if anything to other sites,,, but, I thoroughly enjoy reading and absorbing the wealth of information that a few of you displaced members had and have to offer.
Congratulations, on what looks like a very user friendly site. I'm pleased to be a member here!
I have a '84 Case 446 with black frame, white 48" caster and white 44" deck, wheel weights and chains. I also have a early 80's 224 with a "blown"? engine, 38" caster and deck.
