Hi, I found this site a short while ago while in the Yahoo Case site, which I haven't visited in ages.... Glad I did today!
I haven't contribute much if anything to other sites,,, but, I thouroughly enjoy reading and absorbing the wealth of information that a few of you displaced members had and have to offer.
Congratulations, on what looks like a very user friendly site. I'm pleased to be a member here!

I have a '84 Case 446 with black frame, white 48" caster and white 44" deck, wheel weights and chains. I also have a early 80's 224 with a "blown"? engine, 38" caster and deck.

Welcome from the other side of the lake.
Glad to have you here 60Impala.

Got a 348 Tri-Power and a 4 gear Muncie in that ride?

I'm the head trouble-maker here. Just ask anyone. :trink:

You have a tractor that I'd love to own. That year and color combo polarizes the membership. They either love it or hate it. Do you still have the original white seat or did someone wear that out and put a black one on. Please don't tell me it's a JD yellow seat or I'll have to ban you instantly. :sidelaugh:

Cheers,

Tom

I wish..... how about a blue flame six (235 cu in.) and 3 on the tree! Manual brakes and steering.. But it's original.

White seat... with a few minor cracks. I also really like the color combination, Thanks for the welcome.
Welcome!

My '83 is black framed but no white stuff except wheels. Can we get some pics?

Bill,

Here's a couple of pictures of my 446 and caster. No pictures of the deck yet, It was painted "red" by the previous owner... but the white is showing through where the red has flaked off. I use this machine for snow blowing, and yard work other than mowing.. I have a exmark zero turn that I mow about 3 acres with.

Best Regards,
Kevin B.

Nice one, Kevin.

<----You can see mine right there. Not the original seat, don't know what it even looked like. Not the original engine either. I like the white 'caster, I think I've seen one before but didn't know it was factory. I'll have some pics of my 'caster renovation up in about a week.
Late 83's and all of the 84's came with the Power Red tin, Black Frames and undercarriage, white seats and white rims. The implements were supposed to be white when sold with new tractors but many dealers just sold decks, casters, blades and tillers in Power Red because they had them in stock.

If a customer ordered a new tractor from the factory with the optional FCV, PTO, either hitch and a holding valve; all of those items would be painted black during assembly. Implements were never packaged with a tractor but a customer certainly could have insisted on getting a white deck or other attachment.

I just looked up my serial numbers and realized my 446 is a 1983 not a '84, serial number *14042220*

and my 224 is a 1980, serial number 9783385

I NEED ANOTHER ONE.......
