Short intro. 62 years young, Enjoy shooting , deer, and varmit hunting. I have a case 220, and an Ingersoll 3016. Just got both in the last month. I'm still learning about them. I'll probably have a lot of questions. Thanks in advance.

Fatbob,
We did a Poll here recently and the results were not good.

9 out of 10 deer and varmints stated that they did not enjoy shooting and hunting but said they might change their minds if they were allowed to buy 50 calibre machine guns.

What is it about your screen name that makes me think you own a Harley. :sidelaugh:

Welcome to our bit of insanity.

Tom,
Thank you for the kind welcome all.
As for the Harley, yes, been riding them since the vibrating, leaking, kick starting 60's. As for the big 50, Pass, been there, done that for the Navy. I'll stick to the 22-250, 25-06, and my AR15's.

Fatbob,
The big 50 was for the deer and the varmints to make the fight a bit fairer. They told me that they wanted to see if you could outrun a few rounds from the 50 while astride your Hog.

Seems like a reasonable request. :sidelaugh:

Welcome, Bob! Another shooter here.

If the deer and varmints have no criminal records and are willing to pay for the tax stamp, they can buy a .50 automatic. However, an even more recent survey has said they won't -- due to the expense and needing to get a moose to carry the ammo boxes for them.

Hello Bob, glad to see you. Why not combine the two hobbies and mount the 50 on your hood? Welcome aboard. Hope this place is a great outlet for your hobby.
Good grief, I was picturing a BMG .50 on the hood of a F150. That would get all the boy's in blue attention.

Lord all mighty. I just pictured a groundhog cranking down on my fat butt with a big 50. :sidelaugh:

Hi Bob: Welcome. Just love the idea of varmint hunting! We have a lot of varmints here on Long Island,NY but many don't have fur! I used to duck hunt, hunting is a fine sport. I always believed in a lot of firepower! Sounds like you have a nice collection (or start?). I have a second place on the Eastern Shore of Virginia, couple neighbors are from you way. :trink: :446: Best Regards, Rich

Surely you don't have a problem with that, do you? That's called a "fair fight". Picture the groundhog in Caddy Shack and you get to play the Bill Murray role. :sidelaugh:
