Welcome to the Forum Case:case said:yea i got a old 220 case ingersoll i think and i need pic of how the engine drives the tractor
To the best of my knowledge all of the hydraulic pumps are located on the "rear" of the engines of the 200/400 Case GTs. On the front of the engine note that there is a mechanical PTO that drives the mower deck and snow casters. Associated with the PTO is a belt/pulley.case said:ok then mine aint like that mine is blet driven
Could it be a 120?case said:yea i got a old 220 case ingersoll i think and i need pic of how the engine drives the tractor
This picture is what a typical Case/Ingersoll PTO clutch looks like (Many different variations, but the principle is basically the same.). It is located in the front of the engine and a belt is connected to it to run attachments. This picture is of the lovejoy coupler. It is located in the rear of the engine and connects the engine directly to the hydraulic pump. The hydraulic pump powers the drive motor on the rear axle to drive the tractor and various other hydraulic duties.
Do yourself a favor and find the PIN or ID plate on your tractor. (It should be somewhere around the dash tower.) This will tell you the model of your tractor and the PIN will let you figure out which manuals are correct for the tractor. The manuals have many pictures and parts schematics to answer most of your questions.
I hope this helps and good luck.
