Hood hinge

Anybody tell me where I can get a hinge to replace my hood hinge on a 646? Mine is sort of rusting out and cracked big time.

Jim- Steve Guider sells tool box doors for the early models. They have a similar hinge on them. Give him a call at 937-363-3523. I am sure he will have a solution.
Stock hinge is shown separate from hood in parts view. (# C37312 for my app. YMMV)

Stainless piano hinge from McMaster-Carr etc

Either will require welding, although I suppose you could substitute multiple bolts (?)
Greg, if you do buy a new hinge and decide to weld it on then make sure you don't overheat the heat or it will bind and be useless. Some of the aftermarket piano style hinges are made with really thin material and it don't take much to bind them.

Yes I know how they can be. I will use a TIG and stitch it so I can keep it cool. Thanks.

mc master carr has a very good selection of the piano
style of hinges.
i used one on the back window of my cab.
mine was about 3/ 32 thick.
