Does anyone use a 48" box scraper with your tractor? If so how much does it weigh?

What would be the the high weight limit? ('74 446 with weight bracket and 4 wheel weights)

Thanks

It's one thing to properly counter-weight the box scraper and something entirely different to actually use the box scraper effectively.

Box scrapers are a very demanding attachment and you have to modify your tractor if you expect to pull a load of material in the box. Tire chains on the turf tires will be needed and 2 link would be preferred. Loading the tires with RimGuard and adding 2 or 3 pair of cast iron wheel weights will also be needed in order to find the necessary traction. The adjustable top link on your 3 pt hitch is what controls how aggressive the box blade is when you have it lowered to the ground. Box blades with scarifier teeth that can be flipped into and out of position quickly are especially desirable when hard-packed surfaces are being leveled up.
