My Ingersoll 448 runs and works great now. (thanks Brian) Now for the Paint. I took the deck off, it is not going back on. Got the three point squared away. Straightened the sheet metal. NOW. I'm going to have Josh spray it Desert Tan, and Power Red. The old colors. I am going to put Case 448 decals on it in black. Power Red wheels. All the implements I've dug up. Sears 3 point Tiller, plow, push blade, and deck. are all going to be Power Red, and black. I am NOT selling it period. The Boys can do as they dang well please when I'm gone. I'm going do it my way and piss on the original paint part. The 3016 will stay original colors. The 220, 222, 224, and 442 Tan and Red. I want the Ingy 448 to look like them. There will not anybody in this neck of the woods know the difference anyway.

I think it's a good idea. Be sure to post a pic when done. It's kinda like if Case would have stuck to it's colors like JD has. It would just be a newer model with the original colors. I have to get me a 1976 GT now. It will help breakup all the Power Red & Flambeau Red I have in the barn.
Those were my favorite colors. Desert Sunset & Power Red. I wish they would have stayed with that over the years. It looks awesome when taking a picture of a 930 working a field of wheat stubble on a nice clear day. The color combination is great in the photo!

I wish that they had gone from Desert Sunset and Power Red to Power White (wheels don't count) and Power Red like the big tractors. I wonder if they ever painted any that way and didn't like the way they looked? Gregg

Bob: I would just think about how the hood is a bit different, so will it truly look like a tan and orange model GT....? Support you, just wanted to point that out. Take a look at my album and you can see my 446 before and after. I couldn't match the 1986 446 decals after I painted so the ones I got make it just like your new GT! :222: :446: Best Regards, Rich

Go for it, this is my plan as well - all of my tractors will be painted this way and have the "Case" logo and decals on them - now to just get around to doing it.
