To me.... he's asking dealer price for something that is being sold private. The unit may well be worth that money if bought from someone like Brian because a good dealer will service it totally, check over everything and then stand behind it for at least 30 days.

Not so with private sales.

The mower deck alone is worth at least $500 so you're looking at a low hour tractor with power steering for less than $2,000--a good deal in my opinion, subject to inspection.

The Ad does say "Local dealer in Hartleton, Pa." I'm assuming that this is Harry's Repair in Hartleton, however the phone number doesn't match up. Could be a cell phone though. I've picked up parts from this place as it's the nearest dealer from my home at about an hour and half away.

Rich, records indicate the 4020PS came to market in '93 and it seems they were built through '03 or '04, ultimately with the Linamar branded Onan boxer twin.

After that, the 21 and 23 hp Vanguards were adopted, with the 18 hp Vanguard still in the line up also.
