Whenever i see a “snowblower/thrower”for a case/ingy it is always called a snowcaster
? Is this just a case thing or is the something fundamentally different warranting the different name? If one of you senior case guys can clarify this for me it would be greaty appreciated.
-Thanks in advance,Tommy

" Snowcaster" was the Case designated name given to the snowblower. Case/Ingersoll Snowcasters are a single stage type unit where the auger turns at a high speed as it is the only source of force to move the snow out thru the chute. The vast majority of snow blowers are two stage where the auger turns at a slower rate thru a gear reduction and feeds the snow into the blower part of the unit which turns at the same speed as the engine discharging the snow out thru the chute.

Yep and it all ends up in the same pile LOL. I took a 46” JD housing and auger and put 38” case Shute and controls on it, what I had and got for nothing. Worked good, about the same as the 48” Case I have now……Curt
