I am picking up a kohler CH20 to repower my 446. It is out of a toro proline fairly low hours at around 300.

Anything I should know before purchasing this engine? Like does it spin the right way or is it a known problem motor?

I this will be my first repower so who knows how it will go

Ch20 where used in the Ingersoll 6020 and 7020 tractors. Might also have been in 4020's. Not sure on those.

All engines spin the right way. In an old 44x the pump would be on the crank shaft end. I'm not sure whether there is a direct way to put the belt clutch on the flywheel end of the engine.

But a ch20 is an engine we're familiar with
