Got a surprise I didn't want yesterday. Taking advantage of the mild weather I was washing out feeder wagons and manure spreader [outside only as we use it daily] and had time to drop the deck on my "other mower" an New Holland LS45 and wash and oil it for winter. Figured I'd let it run for a bit after pulling the deck and charge the battery for winter, 5 minutes later while I was washing the deck [30 feet away] I heard clicking [lifters], now it has had lifter sounds before but not serious, anyways walked over to investigate and the engine died. Locked up tight and yes full of oil too. Let it cool but still very solid. WAS a great motor, never used oil, never leaked oil, just dependable.
