So I got all the carb and linkage parts and assembled them to the motor. I have this "L" bracket left over. I am not sure where it goes and I do not see it on my pictures. My cables are hooked up and functional. Call me stumped. Any ideas?

Does it hold the air cleaner on?

If I remember right, there are three screws that hold the frame of the air cleaner on the carb and a wing nut that holds the cover on.

I'm not sure what manual you are using, but in my manual (factory manual) figure 6-48 shows a "high speed stop". Is that the bracket you are wondering about?
