I see the ad say's that it doesn't smoke but that sure looks like blue smoke to me.

In the other photos it's clear that it has recently gotten a not so professional paint job too.

I've glanced at quite a few of McGrew's ebay listings and this is the first one that I've seen that I would question their assesment of the machine.

It seems to be smoking in every picture, there is a piece of masking tape on the right front tire, as noted above there is overspray everywhere - the quick attach pins, the dash, the engine and starter etc., the front MF emblem is bent, but the worst is they cut a hole in that NLA hood to stick a mosquito fogger in it.

Report the listing. e-Bay is supposed to take down any listing that refuses to take Paypal and then warn the Seller.

What annoys me about this Seller is the stupid wording. They've sold all kinds of these tractors. For them to say that it's "hydrostatic drive" and that it's a "Lawn and Garden Tractor made by Ingersoll-Rand" is to me, unforgivable.

I've brought it to their attention in the past in the interests of accuracy but they have deaf ears.

While eBay owns Paypal, it's not required by a seller to accept Paypal. The only requirment is that a seller must accept some type of electronic payments. Yes, paying though PayPal offers addtional protection for the buyer and the seller, it's not a requirment.

I was a big time seller on eBay many years back, in fact my "eboydog" ID was at one time eBaydog until eBay told me I was infringing on their name. Personally as a seller, PayPal is a double edged sword, fast easy paying by the buyer but I hate the fact that eBay get's a fees from the listing AND from the sales amount when payed though PayPal. For big money items, those fees hurt but were else can you advertise your item for sale for the entire world to see and take international payments (with PayPal)??

Confusion over this policy started when eBay didn't own PayPal, one of the FTC's restrictions of the purchase of PayPal by eBay was that they couldn't force sellers to accept PayPal as form of payment.

That stuck out like a sore thumb to me when I read the description because I had just brought up the "hydrostatic" subject up in another thread. Found it strange for an OPE dealer to get it wrong. I emailed them about a Bolens a year or so ago, all I wanted to know about it was "Does it run" and I never heard back.................I guess I was being picky.

Guess I should have added, that they only accept payment on pickup according to the listing and NO mention of other electronic payment methods.

I'll be eBay won't take it down, seller provides them too many bucks in fees. Rules is rules, except when there's money involved.

Asking.....well.. that's one thing.

GETTING....... that's the real trick.

Why anybody would pay him that much dough for something with a butchered hood makes little sense. Obviously, the guy who bought it does not know much about the tractor, judging by the ad wording.
