Another way to help is a donation to the Red Cross, the Heart of Missouri Red Cross based here in Columbia MO were in Joplin before the sun went down on the 22nd when the tornado hit and they are going to be down there for a long time.

I'm my son's scout unit leader and one of our scout parents just happens to be the commander of the Missouri National Guard which just went fully deployed in Joplin. He's been sending me a few email messages about the situation there, mind your this man has been deployed in Iraq, Afghanistan not to mention the Haiti earthquake recovery. He states that nothing he has every seen even in combat, compares to devastation in Joplin MO and it's going to take a long, long time to recover from this.
