Morning everyone, new guy with a new-to-me 226 that I picked up last weekend. Its a non-running project that I plan to restore. This will be my first attempt at a project of this scale. Expect a lot of dumb questions!

Welcome!, and there's no dumb questions.
Glad to see you made it over here too. Keep us updated on your progress. The Ad for your 226 made the rounds here. We like to look for and critique machines for sale, keeps our knowledge of regional markets fresh. We all thought yours was very promising, and at the price you paid I think we all like it even more.

Eric and Masitf, thanks for the welcome!

Good to know you guys keep an eye on the market here. I will certainly keep you updated on my progress. Probably be a month or so before I dive into it...Spring honey-do list.

We'll see how I can do on the dumb question front.

Best,
Jim

Welcome to the site.

If you are new to the Case breed, then may I suggest that you spend some time reading extensively in the FAQ's section to begin with. There's a good chance that you will find answers to many of your questions there. You may also find a parts manual and operator's manual in the Tech sections that pertain to the PIN of your tractor.
