I came across an old miller welder for scrap value as welder/gen side was bad. The onan engine started right up for me with no smoke, and I was wondering if the block would be the same as the 16hp onan in the 446 when crank is changed? I have a 444 and have keep an eye out for a 446 with motor problem. I can sell the welder engine but would keep it if cck type is compatible. Thanks John

As far as I know, the ONLY Case Series that used the CCK engine was the 646. The 446's all used BF and then BG Onan's followed by the P models.

What I suggest you do would be to locate the Spec number and any other information on the engine's data plate and post it in your reply so that Boomer can tell you exactly what that engine is all about.
