Finally got back to working on my ol' 444. Wife bought engine kit for me for Father's Day!!! It has been my intention to rebuild the engine, install it and then find out what else is wrong with the tractor after that. The biggest thing I wanted to fix was the bent up control tower. It looks like something heavy fell on it and buckled it up along with cracking the steering wheel.I tried to work it back in place without taking everything apart-didn't work. Needed to remove steering shaft to try Porta-power. Hub in steering wheel won't budge even with puller. Started taking stuff apart, pump and mount in way. Gonna remove drain plug. Lines for rear PTO in way. Remove PTO. and on it went. The only thing left forward of the control tower is front axle and wheels. Guess I better use money I was saving for engine kit to buy paint.
