We would be willing to explore this IF.................................there was substantial support for it.
Owner's geographic map
Hey Admin's,
I was wondering if there was a way (or perhaps it is in the works) of creating a map that shows where our member's reside. I think that it would be interesting and useful to know if there is a fellow member close to me, and perhaps others would too. This would be beneficial for when folks need assistance, spare parts, etc. For example, it seems that there is a large concentration of owners in Wisconsin (obviously) and the northwest states. But the closest member that I know of to me is 2+ hours away in Mid Missouri.

Count me in. Membership feels a little sparse up here! If you were to use an interactive map image, members could self identify and so reduce the amount of input time required by Charles and company. Just a thot.

They have this feature on yahoo and of the 5700 members many who are also members here there map lists 227 members. That's a small percentage of participation. If we decide to go with this I'll place a marker on Regina. :thumbsup:

I cant see no harm and think it would be a good thing ! May be someone living close to me with lots of case stuff to sell or trade . Im for it
Maybe someone close to me has one of those Kroler engines for sale.
There is a fair amount of work to be done in order to add this feature. It is not something we are prepared to do unless there is strong support for it and it will be used extensively.
To this Yooper it sounds like a good idea.

Where are all the LURKERS in this? How hard is it for you to come out of the shadows and post your opinion on this issue?
I like the idea. It was simple until frappr went away, but with php Shmoogle might be the easiest way now.
