I assume they are imported, but that doesn`t necessarily mean they are "garbage", probably work fine

FWIW, I bought domestically produced Carlisle Farm Specialist R-1`s for the same price from a local dealer, thus saving the shipping costs.
Took some "calling around" to get that price

I did a little research on these tires and I'm pretty sure they're made in China. I picked up a set of Carlisles for a few dollars more per tire at a local dealer. I'm sure Rusty's tires would work just fine, but if you want tires made in the USA, then the Carlisle's would be a good option.

I bought a set from these guys a few months ago for my 190. They are a pretty good Firestone Field and Road copy with 23 degree lugs and all. They even have All Traction Field and Road on the sidewalls but where they would normally have Firestone these say Armour. They are made in China but are a really good looking tire.

I try to buy US made whenever possible, but that is becoming harder and harder. I have had a good set of lugs on my buy list for a while but haven't pulled it off yet. I had an opportunity for NOS titans last year on E Bay but I was not on the ball and missed out. I want to put some lugs with double cast iron wheel weights on each wheel of my 446 for pushing snow to get away from the chains that are scoring my concrete driveway.

There are a lot of "imported" tire brands out there these days,and I am sure a good lot of them are good tires.

I see no issue with Rich's choice of words. They make crap...and we're dumb enough to buy the crap and crap prices. Who's the dumby?

If I can do a half-assed job in half the time and charge half the price and sell to twice as many customers that are tickled to death (let the quality slide due to the ridiculously low price) then am I an a-hole or is the customer the a-hole.

Over there the culture is 'do what you told and dont ask questions'. Sort of like telling your kid to mow the lawn. He does it and it looks like crap but you didnt tell him he had to have the lines straight and the edges done and no strips left in the middle, etc. And the clippings all over the flower beds and drive and porch? Well you didnt tell him to clean that off or blow the other way.

Well said... There is way to much that is on the political side of things to even scratch the surface on this subject, but usually when something is made in the U.S.A. there is a certain amount of pride that goes into your hard work and with that is quality materials, workmanship and high quality standards.
I have 26-12x12 Carlisle's on my 226 and they are a nice tire. They clean out well and maintain traction, not to mention major flotation. :thumbup:
