The boom on the backhoe will slowly drop weather the engine is running or not. The unit is usable as it is but I have to keep actuating the boom valve while I using the loader or the hoe will drop and rest on the ground. I don't know if it is a problem with the valve or cylinder. I was thinking that if I put the bucket of a 448 w/QuikWay loader under it, let the backhoe settle down in that bucket remove the lines from the boom cylinder and cap them. Lower the bucket on the 448 and see if the boom still drops. If it drops it is a cylinder problem, if it doesn't I can assume it is a valve problem. I am a Yooper, so this post might not make any sense.
