I was putting the tractor back in the garage and had my phone in my hand, so here is a short vid of me driving at about 1/3 throttle and listening to the pump whine. When the 222/224 is back together, this is my next project. I am pretty sure the pump needs a break.

The whine could be line wine. I read that steel lines can whine allot. :thumbsup:

Maybe use a syrthascope to locate location.

I don't think it sounds that bad. It's louder than mine is but not by a lot.

If it's not leaking and blowing hoses I would just run it as is.

Not to conflict with Chuck rocket. But I can't hear very well and it definitely sounds louder than "normal" to me. Subjective, but none of my CCIs whine that loud.

I have nothing constructive to add, other than that I don't have that level of whine unless my hydro oil is low or catastrophically leaking (which I have some experience with.) And if Stewart was suffering from SMS at 0730, God bless him! :thumbsup:

My 444 does the same thing. It does leak a little around the cap (while in use) and somewhere under the tank. It leaks about two table spoons a week.

My tractors whine... er at least I think they do - it could just be my kids in the background. :mrgreen:
