Can someone tell me the best way to get the steering gear bracket off my tractor to do a little repair,I mainly need to get it off and get a couple of the grease fitting to take so I can loosen up the steering?thanks for any help,oh and its a 1974 444 that someone neglected the bottom fitting during service

With the 4 bolts out the bracket should slide in the frame to where the cutouts are to remove it. It may take a little persuasion with a hammer [deadblows are preferred] and or a way to spread the frame rails slightly will facilitate this.

I like to use a small hydraulic jack to spread it out, just enough to slide it out by hand,,,
