A very interesting pair of 444's .
In my opinion, the one in AD2 is the better choice. It has cast iron wheel weights and a 44" deck. The engine hasn't been messed with by someone who has no clue what they are doing.
The tractor in AD1 is a classic example of the misuse of the word "rebuilt". Honing a worn out cylinder and sticking a new set of rings on the piston does not constitute a proper engine rebuild. The piston slap is due to an oval'ed out and worn out cylinder bore and has nothing to do with the honing. He spent all that time to pull the engine and dismantle it along with money for parts and labor. Now he's lost interest. DUH !!!!!
What he doesn't realize is that his tractor isn't worth much more than $300.00 as it sits because it can't do anything without attachments and it needs a new engine. Therefore, it's just a parts tractor until someone corrects those problems.
