Ok the coil is good - I went back to the points and the point gap was way off. Reset point gap to .020 and immediately got a spark at the plug. Timing must have been off... Now the rest - ran it for 15 minutes and the dash tower got really hot as well as the hood, and the engine seemed to lose power when I tried to cut grass. Engine is overheating, smoke is comming out of the breather. Carb has to be set to rich?? Carbs initial set up..the top needle should be 3 1/4 turned out and bottom needle at 2 1/2 correct??
