My dad and went through all the stuff he hauled, what is this part, looks like it hooked to the front of the machine, a bracket for something?

truckin88 - Yep, I agree with the others it looks as though it's a front weight bracket. However, it's definitely NOT Case/Ingersoll manufactured that is custom home fabricated for sure.

Truckin': Because its so wide, seems to be a front carry all without the base. Perhaps, dual purpose for weight. I think we are all curious, perhaps contact the PO and ask him? :trink: :trink: :trink:

The problem with that bracket is this. Whatever you put on it, that item cannot be very tall or you won't be able to open the hood.

Look at the holes in the angle on the top (parallel to one another that go in front of the tractor). Could it be a fabricated front bracket to hold a gas powered generator or gas powered air compressor? We may never know. :think:

Maybe to hold a spray rig? This could have endless possibilities. :lol: Whatever it was used for,maybe it didn't have to stay on the tractor long enough to worry about hood clearance.
