I cleaned up and serviced my father-in-laws Ingersoll 4016 last summer and was thinking of selling it. I've been poking around trying to find what it might be worth and prices are all over the place. It's a 1993 and has a 44" deck that goes with it and has 654 hrs. on the meter, it has the 16 hp Vanguard. The paint is original and in great shape with a few deep scratches on the left fender from getting on and off and the wheels have a little rust. Completely serviced and gone over, belts will be new when I put the deck back on.

Was hoping to get a little insight on a fair price to ask for it? I wouldn't mind keeping it but really have no need for it, I have a pretty small lawn. Any help would be great... and thank you!!

Yes the GT appears to be in terrific condition. I’m not to far from your location but as your probably aware of a lot has to do with buyer interest. Personally I would keep it for my own use. That’s why I own five GT’s. 🤣 Many people who are looking for a lawn tractor to mow their lawn would just go to a big box store and purchace a plastic POS. Some educated people would recognize your machine as a premium tractor. I would think Gordy’s estimate is good. ✌. Harry

Thanks Harry.. Gordy. Right now I have a postage stamp lot and the mower is too big to be practical. I'm not sure what our future is as far as staying put or selling the house in a few years so I go back and forth on selling the mower. But then it doesn't make much sense having it sit in my shed for a few years either. I have a couple minor cracks in the deck I need to weld up and replace the belts. After that I guess I'll have to decide.

Thanks again for your inputs.....

I have never mowed with my tractor, but I hear they cut well. Where I find value in mine is doing other tasks like snow blowing, grading, plowing and tilling.

The fact that a 30 year old tractor is worth the cost of a new big box tractor says something, they are built to last.

Hi reading this thread puts us in the same area. I am new here so don't know how to get in touch so far, hoping maybe you are savvy as to how to be able to get in touch with me. I might be interested if you decide to sell. I would like to have a look at it. So lets get in touch. Russ (Grayelve)

Hi Russ..... small world, what's the chances we would live in the same Town!! Right now I have the tractor squirreled away in my small shed, I can get it out in a couple weeks as long as the weather holds. It's an exceptionally nice tractor, my father-in-law didn't hurt it at all, pretty much like new after the service and stuff I did to it. You can contact me by email; "w.r.mcaninch (at) gmail.com", after I get your email I'll reply and give you my phone number. Look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks from the newbie. Think I was on auto pilot because I think that is how I did things but I have logged you post for my how to do things here. Enjoy the reads but still kind of bush whacking my way around this field of the Case Ingersoll Tractors. Russ (Grayelve)

If you click on the 3 stacked dots in the upper right corner,a list will pop up, on there is a FAQ for site operations you may find helpful.
