Hooked the 4016 to my roller today and worked it a little bit.. The roller is 6 ft wide and 2 ft tall... She did ok, until I got it stuck in the mud, a little rocking back and forth got her loose though. It pulled the roller full of water along in high range all morning.... I think I have a keeper!!

Ijust sold the wheel weights that came with it!! I was doing a stupid trick anyway when it got stuck, (don't try to pull a 900 lb roller through a large muddy area, even if you get a run for it) I used to pull this roller with my 444 but only in low range, it made the old Kohler snort going up a couple of hills that I have (in high, so I just used low all the time), this Vanguard really impressed me today, it had no problems whatsoever in high range..... Yeah John, I agree spring can come anyday now!!! :sidelaugh:

Never under estimate what a Vanguard can do, they just get there using a different GPS than Onans and Kohlers and they are still being manufactured!!!!!
I still got 12" of snow plus the plowed and blown piles, and I'm going to steal that roller!!!!
Looks great!!
Did you get your throttle cable adjusted correctly and the charging system working???
:446: :sidelaugh:    :geek:

Mad Mackie, Yes I did get the charging issue straightened out, (it was the rectifier) I did adjust the throttle linkage like you described in another post (adjust the linkage at full throttle) it helped the galloping but did not get rid if it.. I am going to pull the carb and "unseal" the adjustment screw here in a week or so, and see if that helps. Thanks for all your help!!
